Wild Hill

Welcome to Wild Hill, an exquisite hilltop retreat with five rooms that can accommodate up to 14 guests (including 10 adults) built on the edge of Kileleoni Hill, the highest point in the Maasai Mara. Offering breathtaking views of distant horizons, Wild Hill is more than just a luxury retreat; It is a sanctuary carefully designed to inspire, rejuvenate and leave guests with a life-changing experience.

Prepare to be amazed by this unparalleled offer that redefines the luxury and exclusivity of safaris. Nestled on top of a secluded hill, Wild Hill’s exquisite design with natural grass roofs blends harmoniously with the pristine landscape.

After years of dreaming of opening and after 18 months of construction, they opened their doors on August 1, 2024. Located on the edge of the Enonkishu Nature Reserve, on Kileleoni Hill, in the North Mara ecosystem, Wild Hill is an architectural masterpiece, with living grass roofs, native landscaping that blends into the landscape. All water is collected on-site and powered by 100% solar energy. Much of the lodge has been built from recycled materials, including fence posts taken from the recently reclaimed and formed Mbokishu Nature Reserve, following the success of the neighbouring Enonkishu Nature Reserve.

This masterpiece of architectural ingenuity shows a perfect synthesis of luxury and sustainability. Each observation point reveals panoramic views of the magnificent Mara Serengeti ecosystem, where celestial rays pierce through the clouds, illuminating the land below. This extraordinary refuge is a living testament to an ever-evolving conservation narrative, embodying hope, growth, and progress.

Wild Hill is accessed through an ancient gate that opens into a spectacular tunnel built into the hill. Expansive and breathtaking views take you through the main area.

The property has two fully equipped bars and a fire pit integrated into the terrace, which offers the best seating for the greatest spectacle in the world: the sunset over the plains of Mara Serengeti.

All 5 suites feature beautiful living areas with wood-burning stoves, a coffee station with treats, a bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers with panoramic views, and a terrace that invites you to step outside.

They can be converted into doubles or twins, additional beds for children can also be placed in each room and cots are available.

The main area has spectacular high ceilings and a dining room with a fully equipped wine cellar, perfect for your sommelier to present exciting wines paired with food from their exceptional cuisine. Their culinary offerings are authentic and sustainably sourced, with family-sharing options, fireside tapas, interactive live cooking over hot coals in the outdoor boma area, or formal five-course tasting menus at a large dining table next to the wine cellar.

There are several spaces to relax, including the fireside living room, outdoor terrace, pool lounge, and home theater room. Enjoy games such as billiards, giant Jenga on the deck, cornhole, or pickleball on your court. They also offer electric bikes for leisurely rides around the area.

You can go on safaris to wander around and see the nocturnal creatures at Wild Hill or descend to the plains below. Watch the rare reedbuck monkeys or mountain colobus monkeys from the terrace and use the telescope to see elephants on the plains. We imagine that guests, when they are here, will want to stay on site, enjoy the views and all the activities that the property has to offer. It could be the perfect place to relax after a safari, watching everything that happens next. They offer hikes with elders to learn about their ancestors and guests have the opportunity to hike to the ancient Bao game petroglyph carved into the rock, collecting medicinal herbs along the way that can be used in custom oils for aromatherapy treatments.
